名词1+of+名词2 就相当於中文"...的" 的意思,所以在 women teachers后面不需要加'.
[所有格用法]
【名词的所有格】
名词的所有格表示名词的所有关系,有两种形式.
其一是由名词后加's构成,多用来表示有生命的人或物.
其二是由介系词of加名词构成,多用来表示无生命的东西(包括植物)
【双重所有格】
1.双重所有格是由非生物的所有格(即of+名词)与生物的所有格(如mother's,Tom's等)共同构成的.
2.双重所有格的形式可为名词+of+名词的所有格,其中of后面的生物的所有格之后的名词被省略;也可为名词+of+所有代名词.
3.双重所有格多由a,an,this,that,these,those,any,some,each,every,many,more,most,either,neither,no,much,another,several,enough,such,one,two等冠词、指示形容词、不定形容词、数量词或疑问形容词which+名词+of+名词的所有格或所有代名词构成.
【代名词的所有格】
1.代名词的所有格表示代名词的所有.
2.人称代名词的所有格有my,our,your,his,her,its,their.
3.代名词的所有格必须放在名词之前,人称和数要与所有者的人称和数一致
4.在表示时间、距离、重量、价格、国家、团体或城市时,也用名词加's来表示所有关系,
如:a day's work(一天的工作),two miles' distance(两英里的距离),Japan's industry(日本的工业).
5.拟人化的非生物名词在表示所有关系时,用名词后加's来表示,
如:world's history(世界历史),fortune's favorite(幸运的宠儿).
