1.更改成:He has not sent me his address so that I could not write to him.should 是应该的意思,而could是能够的意思.所以应该用could.
2.第二个还是把should改成could.理由同上.
3.情态动词到底用什么,要根据意思和事态来决定.
比如：表示能够,可能就要用can或者could,其中前者是现在时态,后者是过去时态或者表示语气较轻的可能性.
据我所知,目的状语从句中没有用should的吧,应该很少.
至于你提到的could may might都要根据意思来选用,其中might的语气最轻,may和could稍重.
这样才能掌握目的状语从句?多看书,多看多读相关的例句,时间长了就有语感了,也就理解了.
